School Achievements

Celebrations as McClintock is named the best School in Tyrone.

McClintock Primary School was declared the ‘Best School in County Tyrone’ at the Families First NI Education Awards 2020 which were held in Titanic Belfast. Principal, Sam Dennison, was also a Best Principal finalist.

The School was nominated by local woman Cathy Crawford, who appreciates the work the school did during and since her daughter attended. She had always kept in touch with the school and believed that McClintock was an excellent choice to send children to for an all-round quality educational experience.

Ten Primary Schools were named as finalists in the Tyrone best school category. McClintock PS Principal, Sam Dennison, said they were all winners by getting through to this stage, epitomising the faith and trust that their various school communities had in them. He stated that when it was announced McClintock was judged as the top school, the sounds of delight could have been heard back in the village! This accolade reflects the endeavours and dedication of all the staff, pupils, parents and Governors at the School.

He added that it is so gratifying to see so many involved in education getting due recognition for all the important work that they do.
