word Detectives
We were word detectives. We searched high and low, and all around the outdoor sensory space. We found the words, we wrote them in chalk and we told an adult the words we found.

P1 and P2 have created pictures outdoors from things we found! We described the picture to our teachers. What great creativity and imaginations.
Brr...snowmen and the weather
We had fun indoors and outdoors with weather related activities – painting and creating snowmen, playing games and drawing with chalk and on the i-pads.
Mental Maths Mayhem - Spring
P1 joined in with Mental Maths Mayhem using money and number fans. Super fun had by all!

We enjoyed blowing and catching bubbles.

Tikes and bikes
We have been having fun learning outdoors! We have been developing our hand-eye co-ordination, our imagination, our thinking and planning skills, our gross motor skills and our social skills.
If you go down to the woods today...
We love being able to walk very easily to the forest now that the new footpath has been completed. We look for the signs of the seasons changing. P1/2 had their first visit of the academic year to Seskinore Forest today. We used all of our 5 senses to explore and find some autumnal things to bring back with us. (Tasting was just our snack we took with us
) What a fun morning we had!
Folk Park Trip
P1 and P2 had a wonderful visit to the Ulster American Folk Park (Museums NI), learning about life long ago. We even had a robin follow us around the park. Thank you to the guides in the houses who helped us learn more about life then.
Coding in P2 in partnership with the Amma centre
P2 pupils had a great morning working with Jamie from the AMMA Centre and our Shared Education partners in P2/3 from Roscavey PS. We planned and designed our own sprites and we moved them using code!
P7 buddies
Our wonderful P7 buddies have been busy helping our new P1 pupils settle into school life!
From making colourful welcome cards to playing fun games together, the buddies have been a fantastic support. They’ve even been lending a hand as P1 develop their cutting skills 
.
It’s lovely to see such positive friendships forming across the school – well done, P7, and a big welcome to our new P1s!
